一ノ谷の戦い（1184年）の平忠度（1144‐1184）と岡部忠澄（？‐1197）の組討という設定ですが、豊臣秀吉の乗馬姿に、本多忠勝と思われる人物を押さえる加藤清正、という面白い工夫をされた作品。一ノ谷の戦いより400年後の小牧長久手の戦い（1584年）ということになります。版元 蔦屋吉蔵（紅英堂）
This interesting print depicts a fight during the battle of Komaki-Nagakute (1584) between Kato Kiyomasa (1562-1611, standing) and a general who seems to be Honda Tadakatsu (1548-1610), with Toyotomi Hideyoshi in the background, while the title of the print states, as we can read in the blue and yellow cartouches, that it represents the fight in which Okabe Tadazumi (? - 1197) killed Taira no Tadanori (1144 - 1184) during the battle of Ichi-no-Tani (1184), 400 years earlier. Published by Tsutaya Kichizō (Kôeidô).
