賤ヶ岳の戦い（1583）で一番槍の功を挙げた豊臣秀吉の家臣・桜井家一（通称佐吉、生年不詳‐1596）の出陣の様子を描いた作品。十二支が描かれた旗指物の「巳へび」が「魁」の字に替わり、装飾の蛇が桜井と同じ縦位置で先頭に立っている構図になっています。保存状態が極めて良好な一枚です。版元　山本屋平吉（栄久堂）

Sakurai Iekazu (commonly known as Sakichi, date of birth unknown - 1596), vassal of Toyotomi Hideyoshi and famous for engaging the battle of Shizugatake (1583) as one of the ''spearhead'' forerunners, portrayed with a battle flag depicting the twelve signs of the zodiac. The black snake has been changed to the kanji character for "sakigake" (forerunner, the first to charge) and the decorative gold snake at the top of the flag is exactly at the same vertical position as Sakurai, as if it was charging with him. Sakurai Iekazu (communément appelé Sakichi, date de naissance inconnue - 1596), vassal de Toyotomi Hideyoshi et célèbre pour avoir engagé la bataille de Shizugatake (1583) comme l'un des précurseurs « fer de lance », représenté avec un drapeau de bataille représentant les douze signes du zodiaque. Le serpent noir a été remplacé par l’idéogramme « sakigake » (précurseur, le premier à charger) et le serpent doré en haut du drapeau est exactement à la même position verticale que Sakurai, comme s'il chargeait avec lui. Epreuve en excellent état de conservation.
